BizReach, one of Japan’s largest job search services with more than 1 million members, needed to migrate its authentication infrastructure without forcing users to log out or disrupt service. To avoid the password-reset and churn issues it had seen in past B2C migrations, BizReach chose Okta’s Auth0 platform instead of building an in-house solution.
Okta’s Auth0 was used to handle a phased migration with automatic migration for active users, social login linking, and batch import for inactive users via APIs, scripts, and Management API tools. As a result, BizReach completed the move in about eight months without logging out any users, and the team said development staff-hours were cut by more than 50%, freeing engineers to focus on core product work.
