A Okay Case Study
mParticle, the customer data platform for the connected age, needed a better way to scale its engineering team efficiently as it doubled in size. Before working with Okay, the company relied on ad hoc and anecdotal signals like squad burndowns and bug counts, and lacked a systemic view of the effectiveness metrics needed to support rapid growth.
Okay rolled out its platform to mParticle’s managers and engineers to improve transparency, collaboration, and engineering flow, with visibility into code reviews, review distribution, alerts when teammates needed help, and automated 1:1 digests. As a result, mParticle maintained a low meeting load of under 8 hours per week while scaling, and gained clear visibility into key metrics like review time and meeting load for engineering leadership and the board.
