A Ok Alone Case Study
Ok Alone worked with a leading government/municipality company, the City of Surrey in British Columbia, to solve a lone worker safety challenge across multiple departments. Different teams had different devices and needs: Parks and Recreation used old flip phones, Wastewater used smartphones, and Utilities relied on land lines, while each department also required different check-in frequencies throughout the day.
The company trialed Ok Alone’s lone worker app and found it could support check-ins by text, app, and phone call, with flexible intervals for each department. After the trial, the organization set up its own account with Ok Alone, giving workers a simpler safety process, helping them feel more secure, and supporting compliance obligations with an automated, reliable check-in system.
