Wood, a global engineering firm, needed to analyze safety incidents with its construction partners but was prevented from sharing nearly one million records due to the presence of sensitive personal data. Manually redacting this vast number of documents would have taken them several years. They engaged the vendor Ohalo and its Data X-Ray solution to automate the identification and removal of this sensitive information.

Using Ohalo's Data X-Ray, Wood was able to automatically desensitize 800,000 documents in a single day. The solution achieved a 99% effectiveness rate in removing sensitive data, a benchmark validated by previous work with a safety regulator. This outcome allowed Wood to immediately begin sharing and comparing safety data to improve outcomes, ultimately contributing to a safer environment for its workers.
