OGL develop IEAGHG’s infrastructure over course of six year IT partnership

IEA Greenhouse is an international research programme (12 staff, based in Cheltenham) that needed a professional, responsive IT partner to replace an ad‑hoc, piecemeal support model and ageing on‑site servers. They engaged OGL Computer for a modern IT support package and cloud migration, seeking fit‑for‑purpose systems and reliable remote access.

OGL Computer migrated IE A Greenhouse to the cloud over a six‑year partnership (partnered since 2009), deploying hosted desktops/Desktop‑as‑a‑Service (Citrix receivers), Microsoft Office 365, Lync and data migration to OGL’s Tier IV‑aligned UK data centre. The result: all 12 staff can securely access their full desktop and applications from office, home or abroad, server maintenance and server‑room space were eliminated, patching and administration are centralised, and the organisation gained more reliable, scalable IT and faster support from OGL Computer.
