Lamberts is a Norwich-based distributor of tube, bar, fasteners, pipeline tools and safety wear with 44 employees that needed to modernise its business systems to meet customer service and delivery targets. Keen to move on from its legacy Charisma system, Lamberts partnered with OGL Computer to install prof.ITplus in 2013 to ensure continuity of data and to gain better control of purchasing, stock and customer communications.

OGL Computer led a full implementation and data migration, cleansing and transferring stock balances, open sales and purchase orders and historical transactions into prof.ITplus with minimal disruption. The prof.ITplus solution delivered demand forecasting and automated requisitions, an integrated CRM able to email over 4,000 named contacts, and enhanced financial reporting—resulting in reduced stock holding, improved availability of fast-moving items, better margins, less waste and easier day‑to‑day management.
