High-end distributor finds the perfect data backup solution

Saddleback, the Bristol-based high‑end bike distributor with 53 employees and an OGL Computer customer since 2013, needed a robust, proven backup and recovery solution to protect rapidly growing data and reduce daily administrative overhead. Working with OGL Computer, Saddleback trialled Datto’s managed backup and recovery service to find a right‑fit business continuity solution.

OGL Computer deployed Datto (trial in May 2016, full install September 2016), consolidating four separate backup consoles into a single pane of glass, cutting admin effort and enabling more frequent restore points. The Datto solution lets Saddleback restore or power up servers locally or in Datto’s data centre, improving recovery speed, business continuity and giving the team greater confidence to scale and expand internationally.
