A OGL Computer Case Study
Embrass Peerless is a family‑owned, national distributor of plumbing brassware based in Solihull with 55 employees, about 5,500 stock lines and around 1,500–1,800 customers. To remain a leading supplier they needed tighter warehouse control and more efficient stock management—previously they had to shut down for a week at year‑end to complete stock takes. OGL Computer addressed this need by implementing the prof.ITplus Warehouse Management System (WMS) module.
OGL Computer’s prof.ITplus WMS gave Embrass Peerless real-time control of warehouse operations, streamlined picking and made stock control continuous and far more accurate. As a result turnover has increased 2.5×, stock discrepancies now save about £80,000 a year, employees pick roughly 1,000 products per week each, and all 5,500 product lines are managed in the system—eliminating week‑long stock takes and improving productivity and staff satisfaction. OGL Computer continues to work with Embrass Peerless to explore further efficiency gains.
