The Linde Group boosts global productivity with Microsoft 365 Enterprise

The Linde Group, a Munich‑based global gases and engineering company operating in more than 100 countries, faced the need to standardize its workplace, improve cross‑border collaboration, and respond to market volatility, mobility and IoT trends while meeting strict data‑residency and security requirements. The company moved away from an on‑premises Lotus Notes environment and sought a secure, cloud‑based productivity platform to unite dispersed teams and boost customer‑facing innovation.

Linde deployed Microsoft 365 Enterprise (Office 365, Enterprise Mobility + Security, and Windows 10) with support from Microsoft Consulting Services and FastTrack, rolling out Exchange Online, Skype for Business, OneDrive, SharePoint Online and Office 365 ProPlus. The change cut travel time by replacing many in‑person meetings with video and screen‑sharing, increased collaboration (over 80% adoption of sharing tools), streamlined business processes by replacing legacy apps with SharePoint workflows, and delivered mobile, secure access to corporate data while meeting EU regulatory requirements.
