TE Connectivity, a global leader in connectors and sensors with over 40,000 employees, faced fragmentation from mismatched Office versions, limited mobile flexibility, and the need for better global collaboration across engineering and manufacturing teams. To support its Digital Workplace initiative and improve employee experience (and thus customer outcomes), TE needed a standardized, platform-agnostic productivity suite that could integrate with its CAD, simulation, and PLM systems.
TE deployed Office 365 ProPlus (with OneDrive, Skype for Business Online, and SharePoint) to nearly 40,000 users in 90 days using Click-to-Run and System Center Configuration Manager. The rollout delivered a single, up-to-date Office platform, seamless integration with engineering tools, real-time Excel dashboards on the shop floor, a digitized Kanban prototype via OneNote/OneDrive, stronger global collaboration, better product launch quality, easier mobile device use, and simplified update and licensing management.
