Rackspace, a San Antonio–based managed cloud provider with roughly 5,800 employees supporting customers in 150 countries, faced fragmented collaboration across business units that slowed global teamwork. Employees relied on about 30 different productivity tools, making it hard for ad hoc, mobile teams to coauthor documents, share updates, and respond quickly to business opportunities.

Rackspace consolidated on Microsoft Office 365—especially OneDrive, SharePoint, and Exchange—migrating more than 11 million files (27 TB) in six weeks with Microsoft FastTrack. The unified platform increased adoption, improved mobile coauthoring and secure sharing, standardized management, and delivered tangible savings: about $411,000 in annual licensing costs for the retired service.
