Hendrick Motorsports drives collaboration to the finish line with Microsoft Teams

Hendrick Motorsports, a leading NASCAR team, needed faster, more reliable ways for pit crews, engineers, mechanics, and support staff to collaborate under noisy, interference-prone track conditions and with competitors operating feet away. The challenge was to securely share real-time data and make split-second race strategy decisions without compromising secrets over radio channels.

Using Office 365 and Microsoft Teams on Windows 10 laptops, the team adopted persistent, text-based workspaces to share live radar, tire wear, fuel data and strategy updates across pit boxes, transporters and their Concord headquarters.
