Global Industrial Chemicals Manufacturer Empowers Staff to Continuously Improve Customer Service

Incitec Pivot Limited (IPL) is a global industrial chemicals and explosives manufacturer with several thousand employees whose strategic focus is continuous improvement in customer service and safety. After finding its legacy Lotus Notes system limiting and an initial move to Google Apps too disruptive for employees who relied on desktop Office tools, IPL needed a modern, mobile-friendly collaboration platform that would let dispersed teams share information and act faster.

IPL replaced Google Apps with Microsoft Office 365 (including Exchange Online, Office 365 ProPlus, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Skype for Business), deploying 3,600 E3 and 200 K1 licenses with FastTrack migration support. The move gave staff anytime/any-device access, real-time collaboration, faster customer response times, and improved document control; IPL is now digitizing safety processes in SharePoint/OneDrive and exploring Power BI and Azure analytics to drive further product and service improvements.
