Mott MacDonald is a global, employee-owned management, engineering, and development consultancy with 17,000 staff working in 150 countries. With experts spread across many disciplines and locations, the company faced a growing need to improve information and knowledge sharing, collaboration, and employee mobility so teams could work smarter and deliver better value to clients.

Working with Microsoft FastTrack and partner Content and Code, Mott MacDonald adopted Office 365—using Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Yammer, and a new intranet called Compass—in a phased rollout supported by training, change champions, and a targeted adoption campaign (including “30 Days of Yammer”). The move boosted efficiency, more than doubled active Yammer users, accelerated cross‑team knowledge sharing, improved mobility, and put the firm on track to become “digital by default.”
