Green Fuels is a 12‑person, UK‑based maker of biodiesel processing equipment with offices in the UK, US, and Hong Kong whose exports grew from about 20% to 90% of turnover. Rapid international growth and extensive travel by key staff left the company with mixed laptops, inconsistent Windows/Office/antivirus versions, unreliable on‑premises servers and poor remote access, making document sharing, diary coordination and support costly and inefficient.
Working with Microsoft partner Expressware, Green Fuels replaced PCs and deployed Windows 7, Office 2010, Office 365 and Windows Intune to provide cloud email, SharePoint document libraries, Lync online for calls and videoconferencing, and centralized device management and remote support. The result was consistent, secure tools that improved collaboration, reduced support and licensing costs, enabled flexible/remote working (helping close major deals), and supported the company’s growth and green credentials — underpinning operations that contribute to about 1 million litres of biodiesel and roughly 2,500 tons of CO2 offset per day.
