Build-A-Bear turns to Microsoft 365 to empower employees and drive competitive advantage

Build-A-Bear Workshop, a large North American retailer known for creating memorable guest experiences, needed to modernize its IT to empower associates, improve collaboration, and reduce overhead while maintaining strong security and access control. The company sought a cloud-based, familiar digital workplace that would let employees work from anywhere and free up time to focus on customers.

Build-A-Bear implemented Microsoft 365 (Office 365 and Teams), deployed Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, and adopted Azure Active Directory—with help from Microsoft FastTrack—while rolling out Windows 10 and Enterprise Mobility + Security. The result: marketing and other teams now co-author and collaborate in Teams instead of disparate cloud tools, identity and file security are centrally managed, IT overhead is lower, and associates are more productive and mobile, enabling better customer-facing service.
