Dawson Pediatrics Improves Workflow Efficiency and Projects $250,000 Increase in Revenue with OP

Dawson Pediatrics is a NCQA Level 3 pediatric medical home north of Atlanta serving a largely underserved population with six clinicians and 25 staff. As payers moved to value-based care, the practice needed to close gaps in preventive visits and immunizations and boost annual revenue to remain a healthy, sustainable private practice.

By optimizing their existing Office Practicum (OP) EHR—using Demographic Analysis and Recall reporting to find patients overdue for well visits and immunizations and redesigning scheduling templates—Dawson increased outreach and capacity. The practice recovered $64,000 from outreach, created capacity for about 2,500 additional patient visits per year (more than 22,000 visits annually), improved patient engagement, and projects up to $250,000 in added annual revenue.
