A Odoo Case Study
SoftIron, an enterprise storage company based in Fremont, California, was growing across multiple locations but struggled with disconnected systems. Using QuickBooks for everything left them with poor inventory management, limited visibility across warehouses, and difficulty handling a separate European entity. They turned to Odoo Online to find a scalable, customizable platform for purchase and inventory management, with room to expand into CRM, sales, manufacturing, and subscriptions.
Odoo implemented an integrated suite of apps including CRM, Sales, Inventory, Purchase, PLM, Manufacturing, and Subscriptions. This gave SoftIron centralized billing, real-time inventory and order visibility, and traceability through manufacturing, while simplifying operations across geographies. The result was faster scaling, lower operational cost, and stronger control over a 27-user company that is still growing, with plans to use Odoo for subscription-based hardware.
