Lovepop is a Boston-based startup that reinvented greeting cards with intricate 3D “Slicegami™” designs and grew rapidly in a $7.5B retail category. As the company scaled—working with a factory in Vietnam and launching custom wedding products—it struggled with limited visibility into production, decentralized bills of materials, manual production paperwork, and poor coordination between US and VN teams.
Lovepop implemented Odoo Online (Manufacturing, Inventory and PLM), customizing workflows and scripts to handle different laser cutters and to auto-create products, sales, manufacturing and delivery orders from wedding‑order data. The system centralized BoMs and design communication, automated inventory moves and production documents, and cut manual work for inventory and design teams. As a result Lovepop gained real‑time traceability, fewer errors, faster workflows and the ability to scale—multiplying output by four while maintaining tighter control over production.
