Odaseva Protects Michelin’s Salesforce Data at Scale​

Michelin, a global leader in tires with 23,000 employees, 34 manufacturing plants and more than one million customer identities, needed to protect mission‑critical Salesforce data and ensure data privacy at scale. To support its ENGAGE CRM initiative and maintain alignment with Salesforce, Michelin selected Odaseva as a no‑view backup and restore partner, using Odaseva’s managed backup services and data protection suite.

Odaseva implemented a comprehensive program—high‑frequency backups, Managed Backup Services, data lifecycle management, sandbox data masking and sandbox seeding—protecting roughly 800 GB of records, 3.3 TB of files and 7,000 Salesforce objects across 8,000 internal users and 100,000 B2B customers. Odaseva’s high‑frequency backups reduced Michelin’s recovery point objective to meet its one‑hour data‑loss tolerance, delivered privacy and compliance controls, and provided expert support that Michelin relies on for future data strategy.
