Worker Automation, an OTC welding integrator in Covington, Ohio, needed a better way to program and simulate welding tasks more efficiently and safely. To test a new approach, they used OCTOPUZ robot programming software to plan a MIG welding operation on an OTC B4 robot with a 2-axis rotary table.

With OCTOPUZ, Worker Automation was able to create, simulate, and export welding, rotary, motion, and weaving commands without any manual modifications. OCTOPUZ enabled fast two-click weld programming, eliminated the need for an external CAM system, and helped avoid collisions before production, reducing shutdown time and the risk of programmer error while speeding future programming.
