A OCTOPUZ Case Study
Tech-Con Automation, an automation solutions company in Burlington, Ontario, needed a faster, safer way to program a complex waterjet cutting cell with four Yaskawa Motoman robots. Working with OCTOPUZ, the company used offline robotic programming software to simulate the cell before production, aiming to reduce programming time and avoid collisions or unexpected robot motions.
OCTOPUZ provided a single CAM-based workflow with tool on/off commands and multiple user frames, allowing the four robots to be programmed and collision-checked in just hours instead of days. The simulation helped Tech-Con Automation validate the process ahead of time, improve efficiency, and identify potential issues before production, saving time and reducing risk.
