Applied Systems, a global leader in cloud-based insurance software, struggled with manual, inconsistent deployments across many environments that required staff to deploy to each environment individually, increased the risk of errors, and forced engineers to be on call late into the evening. To automate and standardize their release process they adopted Octopus Deploy for continuous delivery and environment management.

Using Octopus Deploy’s automation and CD features (environments, lifecycles, step templates and audit logs), Applied Systems centralized deployments, enforced guardrails, and improved visibility. The result: they scaled from ~20 to 150 environments, now run about 1,200 deployments per week, cut overnight on-call requirements, sped feature delivery, and reduced deployment risk with easier rollbacks and auditing.
