The Salvation Army, one of Canada's largest social service providers, was challenged by a decentralized and inefficient accounts payable process. With invoices arriving at 500 different locations, processing over 200,000 documents annually was time-consuming and costly. They partnered with vendor Octacom to centralize the process and leverage their new ERP system with an AP automation solution.

Octacom implemented a full front-end automation service using their Odiss™ software, centralizing invoice receipt via PO Box and email, and providing data capture and exception management. The solution was implemented within 90 days with no upfront capital investment. Octacom’s processing enabled The Salvation Army to greatly reduce manual hours and achieve significant associated cost savings, providing high-quality data and images to users across Canada.
