How DraftKings Manages Office Space Growth Leveraging Occupier

DraftKings, a rapidly growing digital sports-betting operator, needed a better way to manage a fast-expanding global real estate portfolio and track critical lease dates that had been handled in spreadsheets and calendar reminders. In 2018 DraftKings began using Occupier’s Lease Administration module (and later its Financial Reporting tool) to centralize lease data, automate critical-date tracking, and give the real estate team a single source of truth.

Occupier consolidated leases from acquisitions like SBTech, handled international lease nuances and currency issues, and gave the team visibility into renewals, obligations, and financial forecasts. As a result, DraftKings scaled from roughly 500 to about 3,500 employees and grew from 5 to 25+ offices between 2018–2021, avoided missed renewal dates, and improved rent forecasting and portfolio reporting using Occupier.
