A large multinational food company needed to assess the safety and efficacy of rice vinegar as a treatment for prehypertensive adults and required a diverse study population, particularly including Black Americans who are at higher risk. They partnered with ObvioHealth to address this challenge.
ObvioHealth implemented a hybrid study design using digital recruitment, eConsent, and a bring-your-own-device (BYOD) model for electronic patient-reported outcomes (ePRO). This approach minimized site visits and used remote monitoring to facilitate the collection of 56,286 real-time data points. The solution successfully recruited a diverse population and achieved an 89% retention rate for the large multinational food company.
