Gathering in-home data from parents with infants (preterm and full-term) via chatbot

Danone sought to gather real-life data from parents of both full-term and pre-term infants to better understand parenting experiences related to infant nutrition, sleep, and their own stress levels. Their challenge was to collect this in-home data virtually from new parents, a group that can be difficult to engage in traditional study settings.

ObvioHealth implemented a solution using their proprietary mobile app, which featured a chat function to ask parents daily questions. This virtual approach allowed for efficient data capture and monitoring. The results were significant; ObvioHealth completed full recruitment 25% ahead of schedule. The study successfully revealed key disparities in stress levels between the two parent groups and found that 80% of participants rated the app as easy to use.
