A global retail and business banking firm with 232,000+ employees and 40 million customers faced growing challenges in governing digital data quality across a massive, multi-team online presence. The Global Insights team needed to automate and scale tag validation, reduce manual QA time, detect broken or missing tags (including in cookies and mobile apps), and — critically — integrate any solution with their authenticated, legacy banking infrastructure and security protocols.
They piloted ObservePoint using Audits, Journeys, Action Set Library, Rules, and Remote File Mapping to automate tag testing and replicate authenticated user flows. The tool successfully integrated with the bank’s staging environment and two‑factor/iframe architectures, automated large parts of the validation process, produced a documented repeatable workflow, and began establishing cohesive governance between development, insights, and marketing — reducing manual effort and creating a clear path for broader rollout.
