Satlx IT Services monitors 96 links and 4,000 daily speed tests with Obkio

Satlx IT Services, a managed security service provider (MSSP) based in Mali, faced significant challenges in monitoring the performance of the SD-WAN services they provided to their clients. They lacked visibility into internet service provider (ISP) links and struggled to identify the source of network problems, making it difficult to manage congestion and load balancing. To address this, they partnered with network performance monitoring vendor Obkio.

Obkio's solution involved deploying monitoring agents across Satlx's client networks to perform live traceroutes and scheduled speed tests. This provided the deep visibility needed to pinpoint issues in real-time, troubleshoot collaboratively with ISPs, and verify service level agreement (SLA) compliance. The implementation was a success; Satlx deployed 70 Obkio agents across 66 locations, performing 576 speed tests daily. This resulted in proactive problem resolution, minimized client disruptions, and the ability to hold telecom providers accountable for delivered bandwidth.
