The Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation, the independent statutory authority overseeing Victoria’s gambling and liquor industries, faced major data visibility issues after a merger brought together its liquor and gambling functions. To address this challenge, Objective Corporation implemented its RegWorks solution, the Liquor and Gambling Information System, to provide a single platform for inspections, investigations, complaints and compliance data.
Objective Corporation’s RegWorks solution replaced multiple legacy systems, added new workflows and business rules, and integrated data migration and interfaces to create a single authoritative source of information. The result was improved efficiency and consistency across inspections, stronger compliance management, and better reporting, with 14,370 liquor and gambling inspections completed in 2017/2018 and 88% of breaches resulting in enforcement action, up from 74% the previous year.
