A Objective Corporation Case Study
The Office of the Privacy Commissioner, a New Zealand public sector agency, needed to improve knowledge sharing and information management while meeting the requirements of the New Zealand Public Records Act 2005. Its legacy setup of network drives, databases, and spreadsheets created information silos, made collaboration difficult, and increased the risk of poor records handling. Objective Corporation provided Objective ECM to help the organization move to a more controlled, enterprise-wide document records management approach.
Objective Corporation implemented a single enterprise repository and case management solution that integrated document, contacts, correspondence, and complaint management, including Microsoft Outlook connectivity for easier adoption. The result was improved compliance, stronger transparency and accountability, faster searching and reporting, and better productivity across a geographically dispersed team. The Office now manages about 6,000 enquiries and 650 privacy complaints each year, with around 200,000 documents stored in Objective as its “single source of truth.”
