NSW Department of Premier & Cabinet leads the charge in Public Sector performance

NSW Department of Premier & Cabinet (DPC) needed to move core approval processes such as departmental briefs and ministerial correspondence off paper and into a faster, more transparent digital workflow. Although it had been using Objective Corporation’s Objective ECM for document management since 2008, approvals were still being printed and circulated internally, causing delays, limited visibility, and heavy reliance on mail and physical storage.

Objective Corporation implemented EDM Cases using Objective ECM and Objective Workflow, including Actionable Email for mobile approvals. The solution digitised paper-based processes, improved governance and auditability, and enabled users to define flexible approval paths. Results included approval times dropping from 10 days to 2, printing reduced by 80%, physical storage reduced by 65%+, and 95% of information managed digitally, with more than 13,000 pieces of correspondence no longer printed.
