Managing information for the future

Scottish Natural Heritage, the Scottish government body responsible for caring for and conserving Scotland’s wildlife, habitats and landscape, needed a better way to manage large volumes of information created and received across many teams and locations. Working with Objective Corporation, it selected an electronic document and records management solution, Objective eRDM, to improve communication, support collaboration, and help meet Scottish Government information management requirements.

Objective Corporation implemented Objective eRDM as a structured corporate repository for documents, emails and records, aligned to SNH’s organisation. The result was better access to accurate information, stronger operational effectiveness and collaboration, reduced effort spent managing records, improved corporate memory, and the ability to make non-confidential information public-facing. SNH also reported enhanced corporate governance and greater transparency with the public.
