Health Corporate Network, the WA Department of Health’s corporate shared service centre, processes up to 6,000 transactions a day with about 650 staff. It was struggling with paper-based, manual processes across finance, payroll, HR and purchasing, along with multiple legacy systems, limited visibility into document lifecycles, and difficulty tracking performance against KPIs. Objective Corporation was selected to help HCN move toward a more efficient paperless office using an electronic document and records management system with workflow automation.
Objective Corporation implemented its EDRMS and workflow solution in phases to automate transaction routing, improve document capture and storage, and create a single source of truth for HCN’s documents. The results included improved operational efficiency, better transparency and accountability, stronger reporting on KPIs, and faster service delivery. HCN reduced paper distribution by 87%, cut invoice processing time from up to 30 days to within two days, and now manages around 160 transaction types through Objective workflows.
