Cumbria County Council, a large local authority in northwest England, needed to rebuild critical roads, bridges and other infrastructure after Storm Desmond caused severe flooding and damage across the county. To coordinate assessment reports and repair plans with many external contractors and civil engineers, the council chose Objective Corporation’s Objective Connect to manage large volumes of sensitive information quickly and securely.

Objective Corporation implemented Objective Connect as a secure external collaboration platform, enabling the council to share, transfer and edit documents across internal teams and outside organisations while meeting public-sector security requirements. The solution sped up the production of reports for around 600 assets, reduced administrative overhead, required no training, and helped accelerate infrastructure recovery so the local economy could return to normal more quickly.
