A Objective Corporation Case Study

Preview of the Glasgow City Council Case Study

Continuity during COVID-19 Supporting safe and secure internal and external collaboration

Glasgow City Council, the biggest local authority in Scotland, needed a secure way to keep delivering public services during COVID-19 when staff moved to homeworking and demand for support surged. The Council also had to share sensitive information safely with the Scottish Government and partner agencies while maintaining business continuity and protecting citizens’ data. Objective Corporation provided Objective Connect to support secure internal and external collaboration.

Using Objective Connect, Glasgow City Council created protected workspaces for secure file sharing and information transfer across multiple teams and agencies, including the Scottish Government’s Shielding Programme, education services, domestic abuse victim support, year-end reporting, business grants and court cases. The solution helped the Council keep services running smoothly, was recognised as a secure system in Scottish Government good-practice guidance, supported 1.75 million+ connections, enabled 31 local authorities, and helped save £1 million from the public purse.
