ENIDH deploys ransomware-proof backups in 15 minutes with Object First

Escola Superior Náutica Infante D. Henrique (ENIDH), a maritime higher education institution in Portugal, faced significant challenges with its previous backup solution built on refurbished hardware and hardened Linux systems. These DIY repositories experienced repeated critical failures, were operationally complex to manage, and lacked true immutability, leaving the institution exposed to ransomware threats. ENIDH partnered with vendor Object First to find a more secure and dependable solution.

Object First implemented its on-premises backup storage appliance, Ootbi, which provides Absolute Immutability to protect backups from alteration or deletion, even if admin credentials are compromised.
