A Oasys Software Case Study
The customer, architects m2r, alongside structural engineer Arup, faced the challenge of designing a modern, safe, and architecturally ambitious ski jump facility for Vogtland District Council that was also low-cost and had minimal impact on the landscape. Oasys Software's GSA analysis program was used to address the project's spatial complexity and expected large deformations.
Using GSA, the Oasys solution involved creating detailed 3D models to perform static calculations, buckling analyses, and dynamic modal analyses to ensure structural integrity and acceptable vibration levels for users. This advanced analysis was integral to the successful design and construction of the light, filigree steel structure, allowing Oasys to help deliver a new development in ski jump construction that met all the client's requirements.
