Acciona, a Spanish multinational conglomerate, needed to analyze the architectural designs for the new São Paulo Metro Line 6 to ensure the stations could accommodate peak hour passenger demands and meet emergency evacuation safety standards. To tackle this challenge, they utilized Oasys MassMotion pedestrian simulation software through the specialist consultancy MNSolutions.

Using Oasys MassMotion, MNSolutions developed microsimulation models that imported BIM data to bring the station designs to life in 3D. This solution from Oasys enabled the project team to visually identify potential areas for improvement, which helped to optimize the station infrastructure and significantly increase future passenger comfort and safety before construction was even completed.
