Larco Foods, a Dutch producer of soups, sauces, and ready meals, was looking to cut operational costs and reduce processing time in a highly competitive market. Working with OAL, the company trialed Steam Infusion technology to improve the efficiency of its soup and sauce production.
OAL delivered a turnkey cookhouse solution featuring Vaction™ Steam Infusion pumps, cooking and holding vessels, a CIP system, and recipe control. The new system cut production time by more than 50%, increased output to up to 9 tonnes of soup per hour, reduced energy use, and improved flavour profile, creating potential for ingredient reduction and healthier products.
