A OAL Case Study
OAL, a provider of automation and robotics, was engaged by a large doughnut manufacturer to address challenges in its ingredient handling. The bakery sought to minimize manual handling for improved safety, reduce operating costs, and enhance mix accuracy for its 24/7 operation, which required a flexible system to manage multiple dry and liquid materials.
The solution implemented by OAL was an automated dry material and liquid handling system using silos, big bags, and IBCs. This system successfully increased the bakery's production capacity to 50,000 doughnuts per hour. OAL's project ensured accurate batching, reduced ingredient loss, and provided a more efficient and integrated process for storing and transporting ingredients.
