West Tenth reaches 29 locations and raises $1.5M with OAK'S LAB

West Tenth, a marketplace for locally crafted goods and services provided by home-based, women-led businesses, faced the challenge of building a digital platform to connect these entrepreneurs with local consumers from scratch. They partnered with OAK'S LAB to develop a scalable mobile marketplace app and a management web app to empower female entrepreneurship and facilitate local transactions.

OAK'S LAB implemented their product development process to build the solution using React Native for the mobile app and Node.js for the backend. The result was a successful MVP that helped West Tenth gain significant traction. This led to their acceptance into the Techstars accelerator program and they have raised $1.5M to date. The platform now has over 3,000 registered business owners and operates in 29 locations across the US.
