Vanderbilt University boosts page views 117.31% with OAK THEORY

Vanderbilt University faced a challenge with its critical safety and transportation information being scattered across multiple disconnected websites. This created a confusing and inefficient experience for its community, exacerbated by over 15 different stakeholder groups managing content. The university partnered with web design and development studio Oak Theory to consolidate this fragmented content into a unified, user-friendly platform.

Oak Theory redesigned and developed two streamlined websites for Public Safety and for Traffic, Parking & Transportation. Their solution involved extensive stakeholder collaboration, a user-journey-focused information architecture, and a refresh of the website copy into plain language. Post-launch, the consolidated sites saw a 117.31% increase in page views and a 59.81% increase in active users, dramatically improving access to critical information.
