Aldi UK & Ireland, working with Oak Intranet, needed a better way to engage its 40,000 colleagues across stores and warehouses who often had no access to corporate systems or email. The company wanted a mobile, easy-to-use communication platform that could reach all staff regardless of location, role, or shift pattern.

Oak Intranet helped Aldi UK build MyALDI, a mobile-first digital workplace app with features such as rota, payslip and holiday applets, single sign-on, in-app notifications, and third-party integrations. The platform has driven over 95% sign-up and more than 90% monthly engagement, while new features like employee recognition have further boosted participation, with one pilot region generating over 3,000 praises in four days.
