Havebury Housing partnership achieve their internal comms aims

Havebury Housing Partnership, a UK housing association, needed to replace an outdated intranet and move away from relying on fortnightly newsletters for key updates. They wanted a new internal communications strategy that would bring everything into one place, encourage two-way communication, and let the comms team manage the platform without depending on IT. Oak Engage was selected to support this transformation with its intranet platform, The Hive.

Oak Engage implemented a fully configurable, branded intranet that acted as a central “one-stop shop” for all communications, with team pages, improved search, and tools that supported both internal and external content sharing. The result was a major shift in culture and communication habits, including a 97% quarterly engagement rate, 90% fortnightly engagement, and a clear central communication point for the business. Havebury said The Hive exceeded expectations, reduced email traffic and reactive work, and helped make more employees active communicators.
