Aldi UK & Ireland partnered with Oak Engage to improve communication and engagement across its 40,000 colleagues, many of whom work in stores or warehouses without access to corporate systems or company email. The retailer needed a simple, mobile-friendly way to reach colleagues across different locations and shift patterns and to create more two-way communication with head office.
Oak Engage helped Aldi launch the MyALDI app, a mobile-first engagement platform with rota, payslip and holiday applets, single sign-on, in-app notifications, and third-party integrations. The solution has driven more than 95% sign-up and over 90% monthly engagement, while new features like customer feedback comments and employee recognition continue to boost participation, including more than 3,000 praises sent in one region during a pilot phase.
