Nyby as a key to national expansion of the Norwegian Cancer Society's practical help services

The Norwegian Cancer Society faced a challenge in scaling its practical help services, Hverdagshjelpen and the Transportation Service, across its eight regional districts. They needed a secure and efficient way to coordinate a large number of volunteers and users, store sensitive information safely, and manage administrative tasks without being overwhelmed during a period of rapid national expansion. To address this, they turned to the vendor Nyby and its platform for resource collaboration.

Nyby provided a digital platform that enabled secure communication and coordination between volunteers and cancer patients. The solution streamlined administrative tasks, allowed for the safe storage of user data, and supported digital training for volunteers. As a direct result of implementing Nyby, the Norwegian Cancer Society successfully expanded its services nationally, recruiting 116 volunteers who performed 214 transportation assignments for 73 patients within the first six months, all while ensuring a low threshold for those seeking help.
