La Banque Postale, a major French retail bank and subsidiary of La Poste, faced the challenge of centralizing log collection from diverse sources like Windows, Linux, AIX, and network appliances. This initiative was necessary to improve its security posture and meet stringent domestic and international regulations, but it was hindered by the limitations of their native Splunk forwarders.
The bank implemented a solution using NXLog Enterprise Edition and NXLog Agent Manager to build a unified, autonomous log collection pipeline. This allowed them to effectively gather and process logs from a wide array of sources, forward them to their Splunk SIEM via Kafka, and overcome previous limitations. As a result, NXLog enabled La Banque Postale to simplify ongoing integrations, achieve its compliance goals, and improve its overall security with broader log collection coverage.
