Moderntec Is Supporting Sustainable Infrastructure Across South Korea

Moderntec, a South Korea-based manufacturer of electric bus charging stations, needed a faster, safer, and more efficient way to build high-power EV charging infrastructure as demand for electric buses grew in Seoul and beyond. The company’s existing cable-and-lug conductor setup was time-consuming to install, required extensive cutting and assembly, and added complexity and inventory costs. nVent supported the project with ERIFLEX IBSB Advanced conductors for use in Moderntec’s E-Bus DC fast chargers.

With nVent ERIFLEX IBSB Advanced, Moderntec simplified installation, reduced labor and inventory needs, and improved safety and reliability through LSHFFR insulation. The conductors could be ordered to exact specifications and connected directly to the main MCCB without special tools, helping cut installation time and total project cost. According to Moderntec, nVent’s solution reduced total installation cost and time, while also supporting compliance with international safety standards and enabling the company to scale more easily.
