Parkland Health & Hospital System Creates One Platform for Hospital Services

Parkland Health & Hospital System, an 882‑bed safety‑net healthcare system in Dallas, faced fragmented service delivery and asset management: nurses relied on multiple “call trees” and departments used separate TMS/CMMS tools, creating duplicate inventories and slow work‑order handling. To unify requests and scale its digital hospital environment, Parkland selected Nuvolo (built on the ServiceNow NOW platform) as a single platform solution.

Nuvolo delivered a central self‑service portal and single support number used across Facilities, Clinical Engineering, Asset Management and other departments, consolidating asset, work‑order and contract data. The platform tags and profiles more than 100,000 devices a year (about 36,000 managed by Clinical Engineering), auto‑generates inspection work orders, routes jobs to 13 internal “shops,” and provides dashboards and analytics to balance workloads, meet SLAs and produce real‑time capital budget reports. Nuvolo’s contract and lifecycle capabilities, plus an algorithmic replacement schedule, eliminated duplicate systems, improved vendor/ROI tracking and accelerated budgeting and decision‑making.
